World’s first soft robotic muscle strengthening system. Developed in collaboration with leading Fortune 500 companies
15 Oct, 2019
Bioservo Technologies AB’s (publ) (Nasdaq First North: BIOS) French development partner Eiffage has received three prizes this autumn for its work with Bioservo’s robotic glove Ironhand®. Since 2017 the companies have a close research and development collaboration concerning the development of Ironhand®, the world’s first soft robotic muscle strengthening system for professional users.
Like many other companies Eiffage is facing big challenges concerning the work environment for instance at construction sites. Physically demanding tasks where the hands are exposed to high forces associated with repetitive and/or static work tasks increase the risk for repetitive strain injuries and other related problems. Eiffage has a strong focus on improving the ergonomic conditions for its employees.
Eiffage has recently been honored with three prizes:
MASE Awards Normandie Île-de-France
Today, October 15, Eiffage Energie Systèmes is presented with the prize ” MASE Awards Normandie Île-de-France” for the development of Ironhand® together with Bioservo Technologies. MASE Normandie is an organization for industrial safety certification.
Prévention et Santé au Travail
On October 10, Eiffage Group received the prize ”Prévention et Santé au Travail” for its preventive work for better occupational health. The award acclaimed Bioservo’s and Eiffages collaborative project developing the muscle strengthening robotic glove Ironhand®. The motivation was: ”Ironhand® developed by Bioservo Technologies AB and Eiffage Infrastructures is a perfect illustration of innovation for prevention within construction”.
The competition involves companies with innovative projects in architecture, social structure and construction. This year 90 companies participated with their projects. The prize was presented at the 24th ”Cadre de Vie Awards” which is a part of the FimbACTE festival.
Trophée du Bien-être au Travail
On September 16, Eiffage was awarded the prize ”Trophée du Bien-être au Travail” for its efforts to prevent repetitive strain injuries through the use of Ironhand® in various manual operations. The award rewards products, systems, services or initiatives that improve wellbeing and was presented at an event focused on this theme.
Petter Bäckgren, CEO, Bioservo Technologies, comments:
”We are very proud to be able to contribute with innovative solutions to help keep people strong, heathy and motivated. The awards received by our partner Eiffage is an external validation of Ironhand® and our technology, which is of great importance to us. It is proof that we have created a strong and innovative product meeting the needs of the industry. We are very happy to collaborate with a company like Eiffage that is so focused on preventing injuries and creating a more sustainable workplace for their employees.”
